You looked down, crowded both in the room you were in, and in your mind.
You were at a party, but the friend who had brought you left as soon as they were in the door, leaving you to yourself.
You closed your eyes and leaned your head down, rubbing at your temples as the loud music continued to blare, potentially destroying your eardrums.
The couch beneath you poked and prodded at you, you shifted uncomfortably, hoping you could change the way the threads worked at your skin, but to no avail.
You sighed, knowing no one could hear you, due to the music that, if even possible, seemed to get louder with every passing second.
You felt something plop down beside you.
You turned your head to see a handsome young man, who was currently smiling at you.
You felt a blush brush across your cheeks.
The man had blond curls, blue-green eyes, and a kind smile that nearly melted your heart.
He took his gaze away from yours and sat back on the couch,
"You know," You could hardly hear him as the music continued to assault your ears.
"One is the loneliest number."
You blinked at the simplicity of his words, said in such an elegant manner that you thought he was going to continue. He didn't.
You opened your mouth to speak, but he cut you off,
"There is a question that stands in my mind. Two, rather. Would you mind answering them?"
You had to practically shout so he could hear you, "No! I don't mind! Ask away!"
A smile dipped across his lips.
"Are you here alone? And if so, may I change that?"
You felt the already steaming hot blush grow hotter as his last question landed across your thoughts.
"I-No, my friend is somewhere but-" You trailed off as your friend came into view.
Drunker than anyone you had ever seen before.
"I take it that's them?" The stranger asked as you watched your friend dizzily walk over to you.
"Yo. . (y/n). . .Who'z da hotteeee?" Their words slurred together, causing you to flinch lightly.
"Tom," The man offered his hand to your friend, who attempted to take it, but ended up falling onto Tom instead.
They pressed them self against Tom, grinding against him lightly. Your face flushed as you watched, before quickly turning your head away.
"Now, now, young lady, (y/n) and I were talking." You turned to see Tom prying himself away from your friend, who in their drunken stupor, simply shrugged and tipsily walked off.
Tom sat silently for a few minutes, and you awaited him to leave, most likely thinking you were like your friend.
He didn't.
"I get that you're not alone, but I'm not letting. . .That," He gestured towards your friend, who was now making out with a stranger, "Be your only option."
He turned towards you and smiled. Before you could move, he took your hand in his, and laid a kiss upon it.
"I know that this music is tediously loud, and rather annoying, but may I have this dance?"
You nodded happily, "Yeah, sure."
As you two danced the night away, you thought to yourself,
One is the loneliest number, but two is just perfect.

Snow Angels (ClintxReader) One-Shot
"It's freezing out here," You grumbled, tugging your scarf tighter around your neck. "I should have worn three sweaters and a pair of leggings underneath my jeans."
"But then you'll be as big as Santa and if you fall, God knows how hard it's going to be to get you to stand up again."
You squinted your eyes at the archer who laughed his head off at the very thought of you rolling around in the snow helplessly. But you were right. It was freezing and Clint really could use a mug of hot chocolate about now. The two of you were almost home and would've driven there except your car had run out of gas about a mile back and the nearest gas station

I Thought You Were (ClintxReader) One-Shot
"I hate Valentine's Day," You muttered as you took a spoon and shoved some chocolate cake in your mouth.
"You have to admit though that the sweets that come out on this holiday are amazing," Clint said as he too stuffed chocolate cake in his mouth.
You took another bite and with a shy grin said, "Yeah but if we don't stop this soon then we are so gonna get fat from this."
"I really wouldn't care," Clint shrugged.
"Yeah but I do."
"Why?" He looked at you confused. "You'll always look beautiful to me."
You were shocked to hear his words and before you could respond, Clint's phone rang and he answered it. It was Fury who was calling him in
