"(Y/n)." You involuntarily flinched at the audible displeasure rolling from the mouth of your Lord. Cursing yourself for displaying weakness, you acknowledged him with a curt and well-practiced nod. The motion was subtle enough to only be caught by keen eyes such as your Lord's. You were only mere inches from the spikes that decorated his pauldron. As though he sensed your unease, Sesshoumaru leaned down. You could feel his hot breath against the top of your head. Your proximity to your Lord only goaded a larger lack of ease. "(Y/n)." Sesshoumaru growled none too softly. Your name sounded like a warning coming from his lips, his tone ominous and dangerous. This time you didn't flinch. Instead, you placed your right hand over your stomach and offered a curt bow. "My Lord," You murmured. You waited for him to dismiss your posture, to allow you to straighten your back and return to the standard position of attention. When he didn't, you spoke again, hoping he wouldn't view you
You sat, a risen phoenix among ink stained ashes. Every so often, paper butterflies would slip passed one of your slumped shoulders, fluttering on unmoving wings and drifting to join the ashes below. The soft scratch of graphite on pencil and the gentle sound of paper crinkling to the floor filled the air.
You were hidden away by darkness. Curtains as black as the night were draped over your windows in order to block out the daytime sun. The only light flickering in the small office space was an old and dim desk lamp. You didn’t mind the dreary setting, in fact, you preferred it. You worked better in the night, and you created an etern
You cherished me
Or so you said
I believed you
Up until the end
I was blind to the blatant abuse
You pressed against me.
I was eager for the misuse
Of feelings as you played with me.
Your ex threatened hell
Upon me
She could never have bested
What you fleshed out.
It took weeks to see
What you were doing to me
And then it took longer
To try and break free
When I caused your fall
You grabbed at me
Tugged at me
Pulled me into your hell
You tore me down
And then tried to build me back up
Using pieces of a broken story
Using pieces of the broken us
You said you didn't know it was
Nonconsensual
How did you not hear the sc
"Don't worry, you're not in trouble."
The Senior looked down at the little girl. The girl before her was a Freshman, but not for much longer. Technically speaking, she was no longer a Senior, having officially been done with school two hours, thirty five minutes earlier. She had no clue why she stayed after, but hearing the little girl ask for a meeting with her made her need to stay.
She smiled, and looked towards the ground. The older female waited patiently as the young girl breathed deeply, her voice shaking.
"I just. I just wanted to tell you how appreciative I am of your presence. You are the reason I am who I am, now. I don't know i
Several dark figures were painted in the dark hall that is my mind.
Unlike paintings, however, these figures move, and they spread. Their ideas run wild, and they purge on the light that is left, tainting it with their darkness.
I think of them every day, and because of this, they allow their friends to make a home of my head.
Anorexia stays by my senses. He's a bit too close to my eyes, changing them, but he whispers in my ears, sometimes, too. He, and his friends, took the place of the one enlightened Self Confidence, who now lay dead on the floor.
Depression sat against the corner. Her smile was unrealistic and fake, her eyes hollow an
When we found out my sister had cancer, I didn't believe it. I wouldn't proudly admit my grandma had cancer, but I would confirm it, if asked. But my sister? No, she's perfectly healthy.
When I found out it was from a condition I'd always tease her for having, I denied it. I didn't do anything. Her hair isn't falling out, she's cutting it. She's always wanted to be different, you see.
When I hear her cry every night, knowing her dreams are shattered forever, and she'll never be what she wants to be, I cry, too. Her skin isn't paling because she's ill, she spends too much time inside.
She got to see to her teens, didn't she? She will live
On a throne in a far off land, sat a Princess. The Princess was so evil and corrupt, only her servants would go near her, but they, too, were very afraid of her.
Although the girl was young, not yet reaching her second decade of life, she was deadly. Anyone to come within two hundred miles of her without warning, was killed immediately. The girl had no family, and she would have been made queen, had anyone married her.
She was beautiful, but despite many attempts, she would never share her throne to any other individual, unless she was sharing it with their blood.
The Princess was known for her horrific deeds, killing off every living pers
"Don't you want to go this year? You had so much fun last year. . ."
He smiled at his mothers words, and raised his hand, placing it over hers. Her depression was causing her to block out every bit of news they had received in the last eight months.
He felt bad for her.
"I do, mom, but I'm so tired. I don't think I can make it, besides, I think it's best to let some other kid go. I had a ton of fun, and now, it's some other kids' turn."
A frown daubed at the edges of her doubtful smile. She opened her lips to speak, but was interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Mrs?"
Mom turned towards the nurse, who informed her that I would need to gai
The heart monitor beeped. The lights buzzed. The nurses spoke. The visitors cried.
So many noises in this place. It's almost as though they don't want you to think, you can't focus.
Except when the nurses speak to you. Except when they remind you what you've got, how much time you don't have. Then you have time to think, before the noises take over again. It's not much, but it's just enough time.
Chuckling a little bit, I smiled, my gaze focuses on the window across from me.
I'm thinking of time, now, aren't I? Not worried about my hair, not about my suit. I'm not even fussing about the meeting I was supposed to be in, right now.
Time is
